A 87. Oscar-díj 24 kategóriájának jelöltjeit a mai napon jelenti be Chris Pine, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, a filmakadémia elnöke, valamint Alfonso Cuarón és J. J. Abrams rendezők. A bejelentést egy két részes konferencia keretein belül teszik meg az akadémia Samuel Goldwyn színházában, Beverly Hills-ben.
Helyi idő szerint reggel fél 6-kor (itthoni idő szerint délután fél 3-kor) Cuarón és Abrams jelenti be a az első rész keretében a jelölteket, majd 5 óra 38 perctől Pine és Boone Isaacs veszik át a mikrofont.
A set házigazdája Neil Patrick Harris lesz, a gálát pedig február 22-én vasárnap tartják a Dolby Theatre-ben, a hollywoodi Hollywood&Highland Centerben. Az eseményt elsősorban az ABC közvetíti majd élőben, de természetesen a világ 225 másik országában is követni tudják majd az eseményeket.
